Name(s): Bavel’s Book / バベルの本
Format: TV special (1 5-minute episode)
Studio(s): Yamamura Animation, Inc.

Bavel’s Book is a short animated movie where two kids find a book left behind at a bus stop which transports them to another world. Really cute voice acting and characters accompany a timeless message about the immersive power of literature. The unique, layered papercraft animation style makes this well worth your five minutes. One of the better shorts I’ve seen from Japanese animation.
