JJBA isn’t exactly some watershed anime when it comes to plot, featuring many traditional battle shonen tropes, but it’s exceptionally fun and zany compared to anything else in the genre. I’m actually in awe at times how so many of these powers have oddly specific limitations but the users always find a way to work them in the most contrived situations. It’s very clever.

While I agree the second part is better overall, I felt there was nothing as compelling as the relationship between Jonathon Joestar and Dio Brando from the first part.
