Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Official Casebook Vol.1 – The Phoenix Wright Files kind of sucks. For those not aware, for some stupid reason Americans were subjected to an anthology of gag manga by guest artists before getting an official translation of the surprisingly decent “real” Phoenix Wright manga. Wanted Wright and company to solve more wacky mysteries? Well fuck that, have fun with absurd slapstick comedy with no continuity or consistency in quality or art. Fan anthologies like Ace Attorney Official Casebook being popular in Japan is enough of a puzzle as is. But an even greater puzzle is how they thought the rest of the world would be interested as well.
