No Country for Old Men is the Coen bros. in typical and top form. When it’s at its best, the thrills here are unparalleled. When it’s not, the film is running on no steam. Since people keep asking for a deeper meaning (though the title ought to give away the theme), Javier Bardem represents the Grim Reaper and all of their whimsy.
