Bloweyelashwish is completely lacking structure or cohesion. All over the place with no reason to be because it has no good original ideas sonically. Basic, fuzzy shoegaze that uses a bunch of short noisy forgettable drone interludes to try and set itself apart from its contemporaries. Amateurish and jagged, a shot in the dark where they seemed to barely even care about pulling the trigger.

Probably better if you view it as an ambient album first and foremost, but even then I’d rather put on bands that put more care into songwriting, like Slowdive and Lush, to relax. And if I wanted to numb my brain with fuzzy noise I’d go all the way with Weighing Souls With Sand. Maybe Lovesliescrushing get better after this album, but at the moment, I’m not too excited to find out.
