A Boards of Canada album I actually like? Hell freezes over. The Campfire Headphase is the duo’s only album (from their ambient phase anyway) to sound like a complete, unified work. The songs don’t sound like fragments of some college students’ computer demos anymore and actually travel through several places with a genuine sense of spiritual guidance. For once, I can actually feel a heart here.
