Life Without Sound Review
It’s… so… soft! And not in a good way, I think. The production of Life Without Sound is so uniform and flat; a dirge with no dynamic range. Cloud Nothings can’t use their time-tested method of soft, melodic verses and sharp choruses, and the riffs therefore lack in incisiveness. Despite that, the band still has their pissed-off indignation? I think? It’s too flaccid, and even when trying to look through the murk of this botched execution, there’s no killer pop track like “Stay Useless” or “I’m Not a Part of Me.” Bummer.
