Name(s): School’s Out
Artist(s): Alice Cooper
Release Date(s): June 13, 1972
The attitude and personality is in School’s Out. Additionally, the schmaltzy production that would come to define Alice Cooper’s work shows shows itself for the first time here… but where are the hooks?
The production on School’s Out is a little more direct and punchier than some songs on Billion Dollar Babies, which is my preferred style, but that doesn’t mean much if the songs underneath aren’t very catchy. Worth a listen. I agree with the common opinion on the album, so I’d advise to not expect too much.
School’s Out has a Hoffman remaster and it sounds superb. I recommend it for anyone looking for the best-sounding CD version of the album.
