I remember hearing “Kiss Me” played on the radio all the time as a kid. Listening to it now brings a smile to my face, bringing back feelings of simpler times. I figured I’d finally repay Sixpence None the Richer for all those happy feelings and listen to a full album.

This is actually a very good pop album. Extremely pleasant and their vocalist simply has a lovely voice. I also like how every track leads into each other, making this a very easy-listening album, something to put on when you want to relax. 50 minutes of serenity, right here. Oh, and I love the backing string instruments. A little ham-fisted, but I love them nonetheless.

This is straight-up pop through-and-through, but I get more enjoyment out of it than a lot of my more complex albums, so I couldn’t care less. “Kiss Me,” “There She Goes,” and The Waiting Room are the greatest highlights, but nothing is unpleasant to the ears.
