This Is Your Bloody Valentine is The Doors meeting The Jesus and Mary Chain. Only with all of the impersonation and none of the skills. Dave Conway delivers his faux-Morrison accent over a generic array of half-baked, post-punk songs. There is a slight saving grace here with “The Last Supper” offering some eerie keyboard work, but even that isn’t worth trudging through this mediocre EP.

Fans of My Bloody Valentine’s more popular work will be disappointed at finding there is absolutely no resemblance to their later acclaimed work on This Is Your Bloody Valentine. New fans are better off starting out with Isn’t Anything or Loveless. Distortion? Buzzing guitars? Shoegaze? It isn’t here, folks.
