Wipers Box Set compiles almost all of Wipers’s best work—certainly their best albums. Wipers produced some of the catchiest punk tunes of the ’80s. Greg Sage is a wonderful guitarist who mixes melody with aggression in a way that predicted the alternative rock movement to follow. His voice is deep and rough, making him sound mean, but there’s a sort of humbleness behind it at as well.

Youth of America is one of the best albums of the decade. Is This Real? and Over the Edge are also great fun. Even a lot of the rare or unreleased tracks are good. This is a box set very much worth your time.

Be forewarned: for some stupid reason, they changed the track listing for Youth of America on this box set. I suggest you edit any digital rips to match the album’s original track listing.
