Macross 7 isn’t good, and at a half-hour, Macross 7 Movie: The Galaxy Is Calling Me! is a pretty lame excuse for a “movie,” but you get used to that misnomer after it happens a few times. This takes place in the middle of the series and is non-canon to it, which is the worst kind of anime movie. Although it introduces Milia’s hot daughter and two or so new songs, it isn’t much better than most of the series. But it is better; less stock footage is always nice. Still, this is totally unnecessary unless you want lore for mecha video games, as I did.
