Name(s): Edge of Tomorrow / Live. Die. Repeat.
This is a really fun concept. Edge of Tomorrow works as a fascination of basic wish-fulfillment, in the same way traditional time travel stories do. What if you could run through a situation perfectly? If you have a pulse you’ve played with the idea, and seeing Tom Cruise’s slow evolution towards his goal is empowering and satisfying. However, when it dumps this concept for a finale more concerned with generic bombastic action that could be in any movie, it leaves a weaker impression.
